Glory

In class, the movie Glory, related to what we were discussing.  The movie covers the American Civil War.  The film is extremely detailed and it is a very good movie.  It covers the war in great depth.  The film covers the 54th regiment which was the first all black regiment for the confederates.  Men were lost and they have to sacrifice their regiment to get their men back.
Some men gained a lot of respect for being so brave in the battle.  One of the leaders, Shaw, volunteers to lead the men of the 54th regiment.  He leads them into the battle on the beach, where many men are lost in the battle.  The men were not in vain, because they sacrificed so many men in their battles and gained the respect of the Union, who was going to recruit more black men into their forces.
